For a repeat case (a prior suspension in the last 10 years) or a fatal crash, the suspension can take effect on the date in the notice, and the 7-day window to request a hearing still runs from the mailing date. Call the Administrative Per Se Unit at 860-263-5204 or email DMV.AdminPerse@ct.gov before the deadline on the notice. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Misdemeanor; jail Up to 6 months with 2 days mandatory, or a fully suspended sentence with probation and 100 hours of community service; fine $500 to $1,000 - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. The request must be received by the ADLRO within 6 days of the date the review decision is mailed (HRS §291E-38(a)). The review itself is automatic: the ADLRO must mail its decision within 14 days of the notice for an alcohol case (28 days for a drug case), and you have 3 days from receiving the Notice of Administrative Revocation to submit written information for it. If you miss the 6 days, you can still ask for a hearing within 60 days of the notice, and it is scheduled within 30 days of the request (§291E-37(g)). If no hearing is requested, the revocation takes effect. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Petty misdemeanor (HRS §291E-61; a statute authorizing no more than 30 days of imprisonment is a petty misdemeanor under HRS §701-107); jail 48 hours to 5 days, or 72 hours of community service, or a fine (court picks one or more); highly intoxicated drivers add 48 consecutive hours of jail; fine $250 to $1,000 - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. The written request must be received by ITD, not just mailed, within that time, and must say what issues you will raise. If you miss it, the right to contest is waived. The suspension takes effect 30 days after service. A refusal is different: the 7-day request for a hearing goes to the court, not ITD. The statute text on the Legislature’s site, which is updated each July 1, still says 7 calendar days. A 2026 bill (House Bill 552) proposed changing this to 7 business days, but its last recorded action is a return to committee on February 9, 2026, and it was not enacted. The suspension starts on the 46th day after notice whether or not a petition is filed. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: any detectable amount - First offense: Class A misdemeanor; jail Up to 1 year; fine Up to $2,500 (at least $500 at 0.16 or more) - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. Indiana has no BMV hearing to request after an OWI arrest. The suspension follows a judge’s probable cause finding, and a refusal suspension is challenged by petitioning the court for review. Indiana’s 2026 OWI law (H.E.A. 1249, P.L. 158-2026) lets you apply for specialized driving privileges after the initial hearing. Whether it changed the pretrial administrative suspension was not confirmed, so ask the court how your suspension applies. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Class C misdemeanor (Class A if BAC 0.15 or higher, or if a person was endangered); jail Up to 60 days (Class C); up to 1 year (Class A); fine Up to $500 (Class C); up to $5,000 (Class A) - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. If the DOT mailed the notice, 10 days from receipt. The officer’s notice works as a 10-day temporary license. Miss the deadline and your right to a hearing is foreclosed. The hearing is held within 45 days of the request (§321J.13). - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Serious misdemeanor; jail 48 hours to 1 year; fine $1,250 (up to $625 can be waived if you show the court a temporary restricted license) - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. Mail a written request postmarked within 14 days, or fax it within 14 days. If the certification was served by mail, you get 3 extra days. Include your name, license number, birth date, address, and a phone number, plus the hearing fee. Ask for an in-person hearing at the time you request; otherwise it is by phone. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Class B nonperson misdemeanor; jail 48 consecutive hours to 6 months, or 100 hours of public service; fine $750 to $1,000 - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01. Under KRS 189A.200, the court suspends the license at arraignment if you refused testing, have a prior DUI or a prior refusal suspension within 10 years, or were in an accident that killed or seriously injured someone else. You may file a motion for judicial review of the suspension, and the court must conduct the review within 30 days after the motion is filed. - Legal BAC limit: 0.08; under 21: 0.02 - First offense: Misdemeanor; jail 48 hours to 30 days (4 days minimum with an aggravating circumstance); fine $200 to $500 - Last reviewed: 2026-10-01.
