License reinstatement fee after a DUI
$220
By law, DMV sends $40 to the Alcohol Safety Action Program, $25 to the Neurotrauma Fund, and $100 to the Trauma Center Fund, and keeps $55.
First-offense DUI fine
$250 minimum, up to $2,500
Second offense: $500 minimum. Third offense within 10 years: $1,000 minimum.
Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) fee
$250 to $300
Set by the court within this range under § 18.2-271.1.
