Will You Lose Your License After an Oklahoma DUI?

IDAP, district court appeals, interlock devices — your options for keeping your license.

    Last updated: March 3, 2026

    QUICK ANSWER

Your Oklahoma license faces automatic revocation after a DUI arrest unless, within 30 days of receiving your revocation notice from Service Oklahoma, you enroll in IDAP or file a district court appeal. First offense: 180-day revocation. Second offense: 1-year revocation. Oklahoma's IDAP (Impaired Driver Accountability Program) may allow first offenders to keep driving with an interlock device instead of full revocation.

IDAP (Impaired Driver Accountability Program) is Oklahoma's administrative license process.

Oklahoma no longer holds administrative hearings. Within 30 days of receiving your revocation notice, you either request IDAP (with the $150 program fee) or file an appeal in district court. You can’t do both for the same arrest.

IDAP allows you to keep driving with an ignition interlock instead of full revocation.

    First Offense180 days
    Refused Test (First)180 days
    Second Offense1 year
    Third Offense3 years

IDAP: Keep driving with interlock device. Required participation in monitoring program. Monthly fees apply.

Doing nothing: No driving privileges. For arrests on or after November 1, 2022, you can’t just wait out the revocation — completing IDAP is required to reinstate your license.

Oklahoma requires ignition interlock for most DUI convictions.

First Offense: 18 months if entered IDAP

    Second Offense: 4 years

    Third Offense: 5 years

    Cost: ~$70-100/month rental + installation
